Welcome Winter ~ You CAN Sell Your Home in The Winter {tips}

Not everyone has the luxury of waiting until the traditional spring or summer home-buying season to put their home on the market 'for sale'. Selling a home is stressful enough.. selling it in the middle of winter tends to make the seller more stressed but.... it doesn't have to be so stressful!

Home Owners tend to wait to list, but for those who do, use the holiday and winter season to your advantage and capitalize on having less competition in the market. There are many buyers out there today and if they are looking to buy it's not going to matter the season!

Here are some helpful tips for selling your home during these winter months

Remember the basics.
Maintenance, curb appeal and aggressive pricing are important no matter what season it is. Your Front Door will speak... it is the gateway into your home!

Think warm and cozy.
Use the winter to your advantage and stage your home to convey a cozy environment. Turning up the thermostat, playing soft music and having a fire in the fireplace are simple ways to portray a cozy and inviting home.

Lighting is Key.
The winter season means less daylight. Open blinds, drapes and shutters to let natural light pour in. Add an extra lamp or two into the room.  Not only is lighting essential for showing your home but for those pictures everyone is viewing online of your listing.

Tasteful holiday decorations can help.
Make your home stand out with holiday d├ęcor. But, keep decorations conservative and don’t overdo it on outdoor lighting.

If you Celebrate a Holiday or Not... show off your Mantel for Winter if you have one it's a great focal point to a room!

Shoveled paths do make a difference.
Keep sidewalks and driveways free and clear of ice and snow – it’s safer, inviting and it just looks better.

Home Staging is at it's best this time of year, so use this winter season for what it offers and show off your home for sale.

Happy Selling and make sure you contact Louann and her team to get your house SOLD this winter!
